According to a production insider, "He has agreed to appear as a Britich soldier in the football scenes. Although he is moving to L.A., he has no great aspirations to become a major movie actor."

Truce is a story about the unofficial truce of Christmas 1914 when English and German soldiers laid down their arms, emerged from the trenches to sing carols and play football in no-man's land. Beckham will play one of the soldiers who took part in the match.

Perhaps there will be a Golden Globe in Golden Balls' future?
