Galaxy Set Date With Beckham

The Los Angeles Galaxy have confirmed that David Beckham will be introduced as the newest member of the team during a press conference to be held on Friday, July 13th, at 11 a.m. Also scheduled to appear at the Home Depot center for the introduction are MLS Commission Don Garber, Galaxy general manager Alexi Lalas, head coach Frank Yallop and Tim Leiweke, the president of AEG, which owns the team.

It will be the culmination of six months of build-up and will come just two days before the Galaxy are set to unveil their new Beckham-inspired kits.

Just two more league games stand in between now and the arrival of Becks, and with the Galaxy struggling at 2-5-3 and tied for last place in the league standings, the stage is set for Beckham to be a hero once more by rescuing the Galaxy from the cellar and turning them into winners.
