Aston Villa Still Want Guzan

Though Brad Guzan's move to Aston Villa was thwarted due to his inability to secure a work permit, the English club has revealed that they will continue pursuing the Chivas USA goalkeeper, with an eye on landing the 23-year-old during the summer transfer window. Head coach Martin O'Neill has also expressed frustration over the process that denied the young American a move to his club."We wanted to try and get Brad Guzan in because I believe he has got really good ability," said O'Neill. "He wanted to come to Aston Villa, which was really encouraging, but his appeal for a work permit was turned down. They do not tell you why, six people sit in on it and take a vote. I am certainly going to have a look at it again in the future. If you are talking about the keepers that America has produced, then he is in line with those."

Why the hell didn't Bob Bradley play him today? Guzan is a better keeper than Howard, IMO, and Guzan needs the caps to better his chance at a work permit. At this rate, some non-UK team will scoop him up. Hopefully in the summer so MLS can get a transfer fee.
